Steve Sekhon

Beginning with his solo first trip to India more than 30 years ago, Steve’s perspective draws from a variety of metaphysical and philosophical schools of thought, including Taoism, Buddhism, Hinduism, Mystical Christianity, the Kabala and modern psychology. He has studied both Eastern spirituality and Western mysticism and meditated for over 30 years. He has completed extended meditation retreats in India, Thailand and the United States. Through practicing and teaching Tai Chi for more than 18 years, he’s increasingly learned to embody what it means to live life in balance -- in the Tao. The understanding he’s gained from his personal journey has helped inform the core teachings at Gratitude 24/7, a platform for people seeking a more peaceful, balanced and joyful life. Along with his wife, Jarl Forsman, Steve shares practical insights and proven techniques through daily emails, books, online courses, live workshops and individual coaching.

His perspective is also heavily influenced by his earlier work as an international urban planner in Cambodia, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Southern Sudan, all countries that had been ravaged by traumatic civil wars. His experiences in these extreme conditions helped him understand that, even in the worst of circumstances, each of us is free to make choices that affect our own perception, interpretation and experience of events.

Steve has co-written nearly 2,000 daily meditations, co-created several online courses and coaches individuals who are ready to examine themselves and take action in order to improve their experience of life.
