Jack Kersh

Jack Kersh---I was born in Mississippi and attended Dartmouth College. My first novel, "Hotel Sarajevo" won the 1997 QPB New Voices award and was compared to "Diary of Ann Frank", "Lord of the Flies", and "Catcher in the Rye".

My new book, "Natalya" just came out. IT WAS COMPARED TO "Lolita".

"Ca'd'Zan", about modern day slavery in Brazil, destruction of the rain forest, and decimation of the Indian population, was compared to Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Isabel Allende, and Franz Kafka.

I began by writing screenplays and believe in a visual, lifelike approach to literature.
