Samir Sobhy

Studies:

Bachelor degree from Cairo University in Political Science, and Ph.D. in Political Science from Paris University. He attended classes in drawing, painting, fashion designing, sculpture, drama, and printmaking.

Activities:

He is a writer of fiction, theater, and poetry; an illustrator; a painter; a fashion designer; an architectural designer; and a former diplomat. He had several solo and group art shows in several countries; two shows of his fashion designs in Senegal; three houses built from his designs in Egypt and Senegal; and several books (in Arabic, English, and French), published in three different countries. He lives and works in both the United States and Egypt, where he was born.
