J-L Heylen

J-L Heylen is a trans/non-binary Australian who writes science fiction, lesbian fiction, and Steampunk with a smattering of gender politics and left-leaning ideals. They live in the Blue Mountains, west of Sydney, Australia.

They have two series available as eBooks - The Wisdom Series, a lesbian and erotica Sci-fi set, recently completed with the publication of the last book - 'Enmeshed'; and a lesbian/ transgender/ intersex steampunk series called The Deception Engine (Parts One to Three), featuring gender-blending hero Phyllida Thorn, and their companion, Mrs Hilary Templestowe.

J-L is currently dabbling with a spin-off story set in the Wisdom world but with entirely new characters, and a new adventure in their steampunk series starring trans/non-binary hero Phyll Thorn. So there's more silly chapter headings on their way! In their spare time, J-L is working on a graphic memoir series as author and editor.
