Anna Shenton

Anna Shenton 1st prize poetry winner Vind & Vang Publishing House 2015. Born in(1954) Anna grew up in Staffordshire, England. An interesting upbringing by her English father and German mother fuelled her imagination with bundles of home-truths. Her desire to write materialized after bringing up her own two boys. She also has four stepsons and several adorable grandchildren, so, to say the least, there is no shortage of inspiration.

After taking a home study course with the Writing School of London, all those thoughts and ideas started to make print, firstly with Star Letter Pages - Fillers for Women's Commercial Magazines, and several articles for Writer's Forum on How To Get Published and Writing Techniques. Other articles where published in several hobby magazines too.

In year 2004 Anna was fund organizer for a writing group for a couple of years where she received lottery funding for the group to produce an anthology. Her own contribution being poetry and short stories.

Currently Anna is creating characters and romance stories incorporating many of her life experiences. Seduced By Mind Tricks - Contemporary Romance Debut Novel - Lust For Survival - Five Short Stories - five females strive to overcome unexpected life-changing situations.

Anna has also written a book to help budding authors. Writing Spelled Out is now available on kindle and Paperback. The book is designed to guide new writers through simple steps on how to, and where to write, with special techniques.

Anna then got stuck in to writng a two part novella Historical Romance series -76 Silver Street - A gritty, scandalous tale of courage, passion, love, loss and lies. Don't go back - Both can be read alone or as a series. She is also founder of an online writing group - Writer Read Review which after five years has passed on to fellow author friends.

Maggie's Secrets - a Family Romance Saga set in a small village close to the brewery town Burton-on-Trent 1962 has now joined her list. Currently the sequel Living A Lie is in progress.
