David Atkinson

David Atkinson was born in 1943 to a mother who taught infants and a father in the army whose civilian job was educational welfare.

He attended local primary and grammar schools then went on to teach too but at secondary level. He retired after teaching in schools in Dudley for forty two years and seven days!

In 1974 he married Sheila and they have three grown up children and a new granddaughter.

Some think this rhyming inspiration is related to his Parkinson’s disease. He can stop writing if necessary but it brings mental stimulation to himself and his readers.

Much of his life story and experiences form the basis for much of his writing so to discover more - read the book!
