I'm Nina Dockery, sometimes known as Janet Dockery, and/or Janet Little.
My writing career began when I realized that there were very few - if any - romance novels where the main characters were over fifty. I interpreted that as anyone over that randomly selected number was not involved, interested in, or available for hot, romantic, passionate and loving relationships. Not true!
I try to show my readers that those past forty want exactly what younger folks desire – romance with all the goodies involved! Adding some intuitive interest to the stories makes them become more real to me as I have spent my last forty years giving psychic readings, counseling and teaching metaphysics.
Sexy at Sixty was my first offering. The back cover reads "Romance, friendship, intuitive awareness, a fluffy white cat named Oliver Munster, and a Discount Tire Store are all integral parts of Sexy at Sixty.
Who says great sex stops at sixty? Not Greg, a vibrant and handsome sity-year-old CEO establishing a branch office in San Diego. Not Venus, a vivacious and beautiful sixty-five-year-old university professor.
After a chance meeting, they develop a strong, sensual relationship, but they are challenged by crisis after crisis. The problems seems to be someone is trying to kill them. How can their relationship survive? How can they?"
My second book, Once, Again is now available also. "Is it just weird dreams, a strong psychic connection, some kind of reincarnation, a compelling unknown force?
Once, Again is a love story of two interracial couples, living in different times, who are mysteriously joined in a journey to investigate and understand their strange connections.
Weaving back and forth between the 21st century and the time surrounding the Civil War, both couples, James and Alaro, and Thom and Rachael, are compelled to explore their participation together in the timeless dance of life and death.
Answers both couples seek as to why they are connecting, who they are to each other, and most hauntingly, the messages they are destined to receive from their explorations, is an imaginatively told tale about a pilgrimage leading to healing and forgiveness."
My third book, Seriously, is in the works. All I can tell you about it is that it involves a couple who experience and then learn how to go in and out of parallel lives and how they and their family are affected by it.
The timetable for Seriously keeps getting pushed back. I have even contemplated writing a book in between. My ears keep hearing other characters chattering about wanting their turn in print. I will keep you posted.
