Althea Greenidge is a British national of Trinidadian origin. She became a primary school teacher at the age of 19, then went on to study, and teach secondary school in New York. A teacher of French and Spanish, she is passionate about truth, love, fairplay, uprightness, beauty and enlightenment, and combines these passions in her teaching, and writing. She is also on a constant quest for creativity of expression. Althea cannot deny that her calling is to educate others, so in everything she does, she endeavours to shed light, edify and clarify. She moved to England in 2001 and her teaching experiences there led her to choose factual fiction as the predominant genre to convey her message, couching real-life experiences in a background of fiction. Althea has a heart for young adults and is very concerned about the choices they make, some of which can set them back drastically in life. It is her sincere hope that her books will cause readers to re-evaluate personal choices question motives as they navigate the ocean called life.
