I’ve been crafting stories for as long as I can remember. I remember spending hours writing at my grandmother's house every summer when I stayed with her. We told stories together for hours every evening once the sun went down. In 2005, I decided to dedicate myself fully to the writing profession. Since then, I’ve been very fortunate to have published novels, poetry books, writing guides, and nonfiction works and have had my work featured in a variety of publications.

I look at the world through a writer’s lens. I see stories in everyday life just waiting to be told and do my best to be the medium through which they reach the page. I also do my best to teach others how to tell their stories.

I am an award-winning published author. I am a motivational and inspirational speaker. I am a creative writing teacher. I am a mother of two wonderful young adults who I love dearly and deeply. I am an ally for so many people. I am nonbinary and use she/her pronouns. I am deeply spiritual and sometimes religious. I question many things in life and will always be a lifelong learner.

I speak to writing groups on topics such as self-publishing, how to find your own creative voice and how to break writer's block. Along with speaking to writing groups, I also speak nationally to nonprofit organizations on a variety of motivational and spiritual topics.
