Mary Paterson

Mary Paterson is the award-winning author of The Monks and Me: How 40 Days in Thich Nhat Hanh’s French Monastery Guided Me Home, translated into multiple languages. She is a former professional ballet dancer and producer of Gala theatrical productions featuring the work of award-winning author Michael Ondaatje, singer-songwriter Jane Siberry, and principal dancers from The National Ballet of Canada to raise funds for World Literacy and the cancer support Centre Wellspring. Mary has multiple certifications in yoga, meditation and mindfulness techniques and has designed wellness programmes for a variety of international corporations. She has a Bachelor of Arts from Queen’s University, Canada and teaches creative writing at the University of Toronto. Mary Paterson is a dual citizen of Canada and the UK.
