Harvey Asher

Emeritus Professor Harvey Asher taught history for over 35 years at Drury University in Springfield, MO. He now lives in Lancaster, PA, with his wife, writer Sandy Asher, and their pets: dog Rudy and cat Friday. AMERICA - THE OWNER'S MANUAL was written in response to conversations with Sandy and a neighbor. While their dogs played together, Sandy and the neighbor fretted over current events and feared for the future of our country. With his experience as an historian, Harvey took a longer, calmer view. A series of blog posts ensued, now gathered in the ebook of the same name, AMERICA - THE OWNER'S MANUAL: HOW YOUR COUNTRY REALLY WORKS AND HOW TO KEEP IT RUNNING. Sandy and the neighbor have calmed down considerably. Their dogs have mellowed over time, too, but remain best friends.
