William Cecrle

William Cecrle was born in Phoenix, Arizona in 1975. He was raised under the wide-open skies and unpopulated high-plains desert of central Wyoming. His parents were both civil servants; one a nurse the other a police officer. He attended several institutions of higher learning earning a B.A. in Religion, a M.A. in Theological Studies, and a M.S. in Occupational Therapy. He has been certified as a personal trainer and nutritional consultant by ACE,NASM, IFPA, Apex Fitness Group, and DotFit. After declining an offer to pursue a PhD at the University of Manchester he was a personal trainer and fitness manager where he taught corporate education courses for 10 years. His courses centered on management theories and skills, nutrition, exercise science, and weight loss. He has trained over 10,000 sessions with hundreds of clients and changed many lives for the better. His first book, "The Psychology and Spirituality of Overeating and Obesity," was based upon his thesis research. In 1998, he won the prestigious Hellstrom Award and Outstanding Senior Theological Paper for his work "A Cosmological Approach to Physical Pain and Death" for which his professor wrote "it is the most mature and insightful paper I have read in my 13 years of education." The loss of his right eye as a toddler and a battle with a brain tumor in his 30's has provided him a unique perspective from which to view life. William has been married for 17 years to his college sweetheart and has two young children. He has a passion for physical fitness, nature, family, and God.
