Clare Harris

Hello! I'm Clare Harris and I live in Perth, Western Australia, one of the most isolated cities in the world! Writing ESL resources lets me combine three of my favourite things: writing, teaching English and sitting in coffee shops.

I taught English for a long time: as a volunteer tutor in the UK, as a migrant English teacher in Australia, in refugee camps in Thailand, and in workplaces and factories. About 20 years ago I started writing readers, workbooks and distance learning materials, and now I'm writing full time.

When I'm not writing, I love being outdoors or dancing Lindy Hop. I have one little (but always taller) sister, children's author Emma Laybourn (also writing as Cathy Emma Laybourn).
