Richard M. Lent

Richard Lent works with leaders to help them run great meetings. He has supported them in leading meetings of all sizes for a wide range of purposes. His work emphasizes using the structure of meetings to achieve desired outcomes. Structure includes how leaders frame a task, include different views, support dialogue, manage time, and reach decisions. Structure is always present, but many leaders give it little attention with unfortunate results. He finds that a structural approach enables leaders to run much more productive meetings.

Rick designs and facilitates meetings around the world for business, nonprofit, and humanitarian organizations. Closer to home, he works with local civic, religious and community groups of all sizes. Rick also delivers workshops, webinars and presentations on a structural approach to better meetings.

Leading Great Meetings: How to Structure Yours for Success is his second book. In 2012 he published the Meeting for Results Tool Kit providing an early version of the approach now revised and expanded in his new book.
