Paula Jean Hight-Sullins

Paula Jean Hight–Sullins has been writing stories ever since she was very young. She and her sister used to write plays and songs and perform them for her parents and relatives for something to do during the summers. As she got older, she wrote for herself and her children. Some of her poetry and stories were printed in local newspapers and booklets. Everyone who read her works urged her to publish them. So, after thirty-four years teaching school and five years working as an educational diagnostician, she published her first book, which was a book of poetry titled, Seeds of Poetry from the Tree of Life. Since then, she has published a children's book The Keys to Everything, a junior high/ Upper Elementary level book, The Promised Land of Texas, and the companion poetry book, Blooms of Poetry from the Tree of Life.

Paula is an astute observer of people and life. A natural born, counselor, she touches on life experiences that are common to all readers. Her poetry touches your heart, mind, and the funny bone. Paula has something for every reader who appreciates the art of poetry. These poems are timely, heartfelt, and genuine. Her writing style is reader friendly. You will not have to spend hours analyzing her poems, for they will strike an immediate identifiable chord, for in the simplicity of her poetry lies the beauty. Even if you think you hate poetry, you will love these poetry books.
