S. Z. Knapp

S. Z. Knapp is an urban dweller, who was born in Connecticut and has lived in such disparate places as the 1960's Haight Ashbury district of San Francisco and the late 20th century Washington, D.C. environs.

Employment experiences include night bank work, slinging hash in a late night diner, and sitting in board meetings at a major not for profit.

No spouse.

No children.

Many dead friends and a few live ones.

Writing motivation: in general, to tell a story.

Specifically for RRBS, to create an interesting, believable vampire who happens to be a woman instead of a man for a change.

Writing under my full name, Susan Knapp (no middle name), I have also written a memoir/biography/fiction, THE ALBUM, that deals with my mother's childhood sexual abuse and how that played out in her life and relationships and in our mother-daughter relationship. Through the nine years it took to write, I found that it is never too late to reconcile.
