Mary Mendenhall

Mary Mendenhall, a community health and hospice nurse, worked overseas for many years in church-related development projects. She studied English literature, theology, and the performing arts 'on the sly' while in college and remains passionate about all forms of communication. Her writing 'career' began in elemetary school, right along with her attraction to mysticism, and she continues to explore ways to weave education, spirituality, health promotion and writing together. She is affiliated with the Anglican Society of St. Francis. Her first novel was originally published in London in 1997, and she's just finished another set against the Rwandan genocide of 1994. A native of New Mexico, Mary's traveled extensively and now lives in central Washington state, where she teaches music. She has three grown sons.
