Felix Bearden

The idea of a Felix Bearden was conceived and brought to fruition in Birmingham Alabama during the Franklin Roosevelt presidency. Born at what is now University Hospital in Birmingham to a carpenter and his wife with whom he lived in a Log Cabin for the first 6 years of his life. Brought up in a very religious home where responsibility for his actions was the dominant lesson, grew into a libertarian that believed freedom is a touchstone of not only government but of religion. With a heritage of ancestors that fought for freedom dating back to the Civil War, Felix joined both his father, older brother, and brother-in-law serving in the military.

He spent most of his life involved with computers, a significant amount of time in the space program, but mostly in industry, controlling devices that improved production. During this time, however, his interest in history, economics, foreign policy, and political attitudes affecting them was simmering on his mental back-burners. When poor health pushed him into simi-retirement, he turned to writing. He has written numerous articles for blogs and websites as he finds the internet gives him voice for his views. In his spare time, he coaches voice, enjoys his family, and reads the works of great leaders, many of them our founding fathers.
