Steve provides risk and compliance consulting services to Johnson Insurance clients.

A nationally recognized speaker and author on healthcare risk management topics, Steve provides more than twenty-six years of experience assisting healthcare providers with risk and compliance issues. He serves as both an in-house resource for our clients on risk and compliance issues, continuing medical education, policy and procedure reviews, HIPAA privacy and security issues, and EMTALA. Johnson also provides his services to healthcare organizations nationally as a speaker, consultant, and expert.

Prior to entering consulting practice, Steve focused on his a general litigation law practice in Rockford, Illinois. He has served in leadership roles with the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians, the College of Emergency Physicians, the Emergency Medicine Foundation, and the American Trauma Society. He is currently a member of the American Health Lawyers Association, the Illinois Association of Healthcare Attorneys, the American Society of Healthcare Risk Managers, the International Association of Privacy Professionals, American Health Information Management Association, and the Wisconsin Society of Healthcare Risk Managers.
