Don Gould is an articulate dynamic individual who has spent a large portion of his life in far-flung corners of the world. He has traveled, lived and worked over many years in a variety of culturally diverse and exotic locales around the globe. Don’s diverse working and living experience includes assignments in Iraq, Kuwait, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Papua New Guinea, Cameroon, Chad, Mexico, Canada, Australia and the USA. His travel experiences would require a list too long for this venue but suffice it to say Don has trod the streets, jungles, mountains and valleys of every inhabited continent on this earth.
Don is a voracious reader with a fabulous memory for detail. He has always been a great storyteller and always intended to write one day. He loves Tom Clancy, Clive Cussler, John Grisham, David Baldacci, Brad Thor and numerous other writers in both fiction and non-fiction genres. Don also enjoys the books and commentary of conservative pundits such as Glenn Beck, Bill O’Reilly, Charles Krauthammer, Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh. His desire to write began to boil over and came to fruition when he returned to the US after taking early retirement from his role of Vice President, Project Services for a major global mining company. On returning to America Don found his beloved country headed totally in the wrong direction. Don found our leadership had moved so far to the extreme left that our President was roaming the globe bowing down to Islamic Kings and apologizing for American actions that required support not apologies.
Don knew based on his own personal experiences in Islamic dominated societies and countries that the majority of Muslims are taught from childhood to fully believe that Islam is destined to rule the world. Many Islamic political and clerical leaders believe that Islam will dominate the world by fire and the sword as they attempted to do for many centuries prior to their defeat in World War I. Many Muslims hate America and consider us the Great Satan. Our acquiescence to their demands by bowing to them and apologizing for legitimate actions simply reflects weakness in their eyes.
As a contractor to the US Army during a 2004-2005 tour in Iraq, Don saw many examples of Islamic fanaticism up close and personal. While living with his family in Indonesia, he again encountered the ingrained belief in inevitable global Islamic domination. After years of living in different countries dominated by Islam, he determined that the Glenn Beck’s of the world should be taken seriously. Don’s first novel, “9/11 to Global Jihad” is a fictional scenario that reflects the catastrophic position the US and many other countries around the world will find ourselves in if we continue to follow the flawed path of political correctness by bowing down, apologizing and catering to Islamic demands.
