A. Gumby Breton

In the heart of the financial crisis, A. Gumby Breton worked at BlackRock - the firm that was frequently called to assess and clean up the damage at the biggest, baddest banks. He had an insider's view of events on critical days for firms like Bear Sterns and Freddie Mac. Today, Gumby studies Economics at Duke University.

As a lyricist and humorist, Gumby's work has been featured nationally on NPR's "This American Life", "All Things Considered", and "Planet Money." He wrote "Toxie the Toxic Asset" with James Gammon of James Gammon Productions. Gumby has also won national awards for lyrics in the a cappella recording community.

Starting in 2013, Gumby will be living in Boston with his wife, Julia.

Everybody calls him "Gumby," except for coworkers and his mother.
