On writing novels: Buono per l'anima, non buono per il portafoglio - (Good for the soul - not good for the wallet)
Born in Lincoln Park, Chicago, Tomaszek served as a USAF Combat Air Rescue airborne firefighter (Se la vie. Se la guerre. Se de la core de l'Avoin!). He is a commissioned Kentucky colonel and a lifetime member of the VFW. He served eight years as an elected precinct commissioner in Cuba Twp. Barrington, Il.
A romantic, Tomaszek is a former amateur operatic and musical comedy tenor and has performed in full armor in historical reenactments, riding and shooting from the saddle with the best of them. Tomaszek employs his immersion into numerous cultures and languages encountered while living in Europe and Asia and his passion for Fine Arts as inspiration for his novels, giving his stories unique color and spice.
Tomaszek and his family reside in the northwest Illinois suburbs where the family breed alpacas and are active in animal rescue.
