P.J. Howell grew up in a small town in Washington State and has always called the Evergreen State her home. She continues to reside in the Pacific Northwest with her family, as well as some extremely spoiled cats and dogs.
While writing has always been a passion, P.J.'s desire to write books transpired after years of working in a law firm as a legal assistant and then as a criminal defense investigator when she opened her own private investigative agency. P.J.'s interests in criminal law, investigations and mysteries, combined with her desire to bring characters and stories to life, inspired her to put her stories on paper and share them with others.
P.J’s debut as an author began with The Jorja Matthews Mystery Series, a P.I. mystery series set in a local Pacific Northwest town, which is full of heart, humor and characters readers can relate to as they are drawn into the life of a female private investigator. P.J. uses her knowledge as a former P.I. to share stories with many twists and turns, which will delight mystery readers.
The idea behind The Road Trip Mystery Series was born from P.J.’s love for road trips and the beautiful parks, campgrounds, monuments, museums, and other incredible sights she’s been able to explore with her family over the years. The Road Trip Mystery Series introduces the Sweet Sisters, Kendra and Camille, and readers will enjoy following along with them, and their dog, Marvin, as they travel around the United States and solve mysteries on the way.
For readers who enjoy YA novels, look for P.J.'s novel titled Born or Bred, the story about Reid and Riley, two brothers trying to survive a dystopian world, and which has a dedicated website at www.pjhowellauthor.wordpress.com.
P.J. has also published a nonfiction motivational book and short stories and she is currently working on additional projects she hopes to make available soon.
