Sharon Wells Wagner

Sharon Wells Wagner is the author of three nonfiction books: Red Wells, the story of her father's extraordinary life; Ordinary Heroes, the saga of World War II told through the eyes of its veterans; and Forgotten Widow, the true account of the recovery of a rare crashed P-61 night fighter. Her passion for writing began at an early age; as a child she dreamed of becoming a writer. Today her interests also include reading, watercolor painting, traveling, and writing children's books.

Sharon is Producer and Co-Host of Berks Community Television's Tales of World War II and the Special Guest Coordinator for the Mid Atlantic Air Museum's World War II Weekend, the largest World War II reenactment in the country. She is very involved with documenting World War II veterans' stories, both in her writing and for the Veterans History Project at the Library of Congress. Her father's military service inspired her to encourage veterans to share their experiences with the public. She particularly enjoys bringing veterans and the public together at numerous historical and educational events along the east coast.
