Peter Benn

Peter is a mature age Australian writer who shares his experiences with his readers so that others may learn from his life and therefore make their own path a little easier.

Since being a boy in a small rural community he has sought means to do this, especially in the world of visual entertainment. His knowledge and active distribution of children's films and educative documentaries is widely known and appreciated throughout Australian public libraries and schools, and was a means of bringing to the attention of parents and educators the best productions that these genre could provide. He also programmed cinemas, conducted Australia wide children's film festivals, was actively involved in short film production, ran touring film projection services, hosted appropriate websites and was an active member of many film related organizations.

As he couldn't be the schoolteacher he desired to be, so he turned to words - written words. He wrote many short stories, a children's novel, screenplays, catalogues, newsletters - and these helped him improve his skills to the point where he now happily writes as his primary interest in life.

The "write about what you know" advice that was frequently given to him has led to his books being very personal and honest in nature, with wise wisdom at their core. Travel, sexuality, philosophy, photography are just the beginning of his subjects.

Peter also has a very spiritual nature and a unique view of the world that makes him happy, contented and totally as one with Source. Expect his future books to reflect and embrace this joy and affinity - and maybe also for contrast, a nostalgic look back at life in a small rural Australian town in the 1950s.
