Heidi Hackford

Heidi Hackford was born in Buffalo, New York, where snowy childhood winters encouraged a voracious appetite for reading and writing. She has a Ph.D. in 19th century American History and has worked in a number of historical museums and sites, including Monticello and the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum. The compelling, quirky, and inspiring plot lines of history often find their way into her work as well as her outlook on life.
