I am originally from Andhra Pradesh, India. I moved to the United States of America in 1973 and ever since I have been working towards global understanding by providing translations of eminent Telugu fiction.

I have been writing short fiction and informative/analytical articles on Telugu writers and literature for over sixty years. I launched my website, www.thulika.net, in June 2001 with the specific purpose of introducing Telugu culture and social consciousness of our writers to the western readers through eminent fiction. The website has been recognized by scholars and students of cultural diversity as a valuable source on Telugu literature.
