John B. Dutton

After graduating from film school in London, England, I emigrated to Montreal, where I live with my two children. I began my career as a TV director and editor, then moved into the communications industry, writing for clients such as Cirque du Soleil and Skidoo.

Following a stint as Chief Creative Officer at international ad agency Camden, I’m now Head of Creative Services with the National Film Board of Canada.

As well as my non-fiction writing on Substack and Medium, I’ve also written screenplays, a stage play, novels, and short stories.
