Jörg Werner

Jörg Werner is a German satirist, novelist, and self-described chronicler of everyday madness. A former sailor, postman, management trainer and mediator, he has spent decades observing the absurdities of human civilisation — and concluded that outer space is probably no better.

His Götzendämmerung Trilogy is a galactic satire in the tradition of Douglas Adams: anarchic, philosophical, and deeply strange. The series follows Max Taschke, a committed sceptic dragged against his will into a crumbling angelic empire somewhere in the Milky Way, where enlightenment arrives uninvited and the bureaucracy is worse than anything on Earth.

Werner lives in Steinbach im Taunus, Germany, and spends several months each year in Brittany, France.
