Author, storyteller, and public theologian Mary Sharon Moore helps readers and audiences to identify and shape their meaning-making language, through her own practice of writing and narrating.

Mary Sharon’s chief inspiration is Jesus of the Gospels, and as a practitioner of public theology she finds people of goodwill everywhere—whether they know Jesus or not—living the life and walking the Good Road which Jesus preached. Her stories spark fresh insight into readers’ own experience.

Mary Sharon’s background includes a bachelor’s degree in English from University of Oregon, Eugene, and a master’s degree in theological studies from the Franciscan School of Theology, Berkeley. She engages in advocacy on civic, economic, and housing concerns in her town and county, and in the practice of nonviolence, peacemaking, and better public conversations.
