John Dinneen

Born in London the young John Dinneen loved drawing and making things. He made an automatic potato peeler out of a large biscuit tin (his Father helped him make sharp edges inside with a hammer and chisel) and connected it to the garden hose. He proudly demonstrated it to his family ..... after much hissing and swishing they all became very wet and annoyed. The potatoes weren't too happy either, turning out very rough looking. This taught John an important lesson in life ...... if you're demonstrating a water gadget, get everyone to wear raincoats and do it outdoors!

We won't dwell on the tricks and games that John played on his friends and family, especially his Mother. But John left home, studied and became an engineer. Then one day he decided to have a halloween party for his friends and looked in the shops for books on how to make Scary Halloween Things ......but I couldn't find any! So, he invented his own ways of making bats, scary masks and skeletons. The party was a great success, every one was scared stiff so, soon afterwards, John decided to write his first book: 'The Make Your Own Creepy, Spooky Horrors Book'.

Since then he has written six other Children's Activity Books:

The Practical Joker's Handbooks 1 & 2.

Party Games And Rotten Tricks.

Super-Challenge 1 & 2.

Marbles, Hopscotch and Jacks.

The first four books are available in Kindle Edition. John Dinneen's Books have sold all over the world and have been translated into Welsh, French, German, Spanish, Dutch, Estonian and Swedish. He hopes that You have as much fun reading them as he had writing them.
