Dave Charles

My name is Dave Fry and I publish under the name of Dave Charles, I live in Gosport in Hampshire. Originally from Sutton in South London. I began to write "One Millimetre From Home" about ten years ago, which was my first book. Work commitments prevented me from finishing the book at that time, I eventually managed to get the story self published in 2006. Last year I decided to revisit the book and rewrite.

"The Triangle Dome" the second in the trilogy, was started round about the time I had "One Millimetre..." published by which time I had learned a lot more about writing. Unfortunately when I reached 40,000+ words my computer crashed and I lost the whole story, luckily I'd saved the first 15,000 words on floppy disc (remember them?) so basically I had to start again.

I've always wanted to write as I believe there is a story in all of us, and my influences are varied from Arthur C Clarke to Conan-Doyle and Stephen King to Charles Dickens, I also have a few short stories which will be published in one book very soon.
