Linwood Casey

Linwood Casey is a retired schoolteacher who has taught all three levels of grade school. He is also an accomplished musician having performed with three opera companies and two symphony orchestras. As a schoolteacher he taught only academic subjects, but has taught music at two universities and in studios. He has composed instructional music for string players, and has written short stories for children. Despite his serious nature, Casey has a youthful, humorous outlook on life which he says comes from working with children. He still teaches and tutors students aged 3 to 18, and has an impressive record as a community servant. Casey writes by hand, using the computer only in the final stages of creation. 'The greatest minds of the world had only pen and paper,' he says.

Casey has a musical tribute on You Tube entitled, "Linwood Casey's Tribute to Tyler Clementi."
