Cap Parlier

Cap came to his passion for storytelling and writing comparatively late in life, yet that passion has sunk deep, strong roots. The tipping point came with a confluence of helping a Soviet test pilot obtain a bone marrow transplant in the United States and an international writing contest. Cap’s wife Jeanne coaxed him to tell the story. While he did not win the contest, the story became his book “Sacrifice.” Cap collaborated with Kevin E. Ready to produce a critical review of the 1996 TWA-800 event – “TWA 800 – Accident or Incident?” He has also written two in his Anod series of science fiction novels – “Anod’s Seduction” and “Anod’s Redemption.”

Cap’s latest books tell the engaging story of a young man at his age of majority, who has become an accomplished aviator on the Great Plains of Kansas, and decides to defy federal law to join the Royal Air Force in Canada in the late spring of 1939. He proves himself as an able fighter pilot at the dawn of World War II. The To So Few series of historical novels open with “In the Beginning” (Book I) and “The Prelude” (Book II), released in January 2014. Book III (Explosion) is scheduled for release later in 2014.

Cap has considerable experience in both military and commercial aviation. He holds a BS in Marine Engineering from the United States Naval Academy and an MS in Aerospace Systems from the University of West Florida. Cap is a retired Marine aviator and former experimental test pilot with over 3,000 hours of flying experience in jets, props, helicopters and anything else they let him fly. He has performed in a wide variety of assignments with Beechcraft, Senior Aerospace Composites, Piaggio Aero Industries, Corporate Jets, Ltd., McDonnell Douglas, and Hughes Helicopters. He and his wife, Jeanne, have four adult children and seven grandchildren (so far).
