Joyce Lynn is a journalist, speaker, and advocate for the empowerment of women.
After eight years as a political reporter in Washington, D.C., Joyce moved to San Francisco, where she recalled her first dream, ever. It was an image of five women--international, interrelated--bringing joy and beauty to the world. The dream redirected her path toward helping women use dreams for self-empowerment. When Joyce faced a health crisis, dreams were the place where healing happened. Dreams continue to guide all aspects of her life and her writing as the way to bring about personal and planetary well-being.
She is founder and editor of the online publications Political Diary and Plum Dreams Journal (PlumDreams.com), integrating information, intuition, and imagination for positive change. Her incisive stories and profiles based on the truth-telling power of dreams help readers learn the truth of an issue. Her website JoyceLynn.com also contains profiles of powerful women whose dreams have guided their art, business acumen, and activism. As a result, hers is a what one reader called "a breath of fresh air" in the media.
Joyce is the author of "PLUM DREAMS DIARY:On Mothers, Men, Modern Medicine, and the Divine," a compilation of dream narratives exploring the female psyche. She is also the author of "Dreams and the Wisdom Within," part memoir, part scientific manual, part spiritual guide, reviving dreams as a mandatory modality in our daily lives.
Joyce holds a Bachelor’s degree in education and a Master’s degree in communication. She was an assistant press secretary to a U.S. Representative and editor of a weekly newspaper.
Her mission: to share the power of dreams for our personal and social transformation.
