Ruth Henderson-Morrow

Ruth is a native of Oak Ridge, Tennessee. She graduated from Oak Ridge High School and was the first in her family tree to graduate from college. Ruth graduated from Berea College in Berea, Kentucky with a B.A. in Spanish. She later pursued a Master’s Degree in Business Administration attending Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts then later attending and receiving her M.B.A. from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio. Ruth worked at Western Electric, which became AT&T and ultimately retired from Lucent Technologies in 2001. While at Lucent, Ruth became a Certified Purchasing Manager, through the National Association of Purchasing Managers. Upon retirement from Lucent Technologies after 22 years, she became a licensed Real Estate Broker and is a member of the National Association of Realtors. She currently has her license with ResortQuest in Destin, Florida. She has continued to pursue her academic aspirations by achieving the professional designation of Community Association Manager.

Growing up in a two bedroom duplex in Oak Ridge, Tennessee with her Mother, Father, three brothers and four sisters, the family of 10 had very humble beginnings. Ruth remembers sharing a small bedroom with all her sisters and the roll-a-way bed her brothers brought out every night to the family’s living room which doubled as their bedroom at night. This motivated her to do all she could do to propel herself into a life style that as a child she could only dream about.

Both of her parents instilled in the family the importance of a strong work ethic. As the oldest, a lot of responsibility fell on her shoulders, and the words from her Mother “that she had to be the example” inspires her even today to excel in every venue. Growing up in the small community of Oak Ridge, Ruth was surrounded by family, friends, neighbors and a community of teachers and Girl Scout leaders who encouraged her to always do her best which has resulted in the persistence and determination she is known for.

Ruth grew up as a Member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Oak Ridge and spent over 10 years under the ministry of Christian Faith Center in Creedmoor, North Carolina which the late Bishop Mack Timberlake, Jr. and his wife Pastor Brenda Timberlake were her Pastors. Ruth is currently a member of the leadership team and ministers on the Prayer team at Kingdom Life Vision Center in Destin, Florida. She has also ministered in the area of Prophetic Healing and Deliverance at Christian International in Santa Rosa Beach.
