P.H. (Paul) Brazier lives in Wimbledon, London, England. Since 1999, he has been the full-time caregiver for his wife Hilary, who has epilepsy. Born in Evesham, Worcestershire (1954) into a market gardening family, Paul Brazier worked for the Forestry Commission on Bredon Hill and the North Cotswolds; after graduating from art college he went into teaching. He married Hilary Whitworth in 1983; they have attended a Church of England church in West Wimbledon for the last 30 years. His doctoral work focused on the influence of Dostoevsky on the young Karl Barth’s doctrine of sin and atonement (Barth & Dostoevsky, Paternoster 2008). He has taught extensively at a variety of institutions from the late 1970s on. Originally teaching in British Art Colleges over thirty years ago (Art History and Education. Heinemann 1985), he moved into inner-city urban priority area primary school teaching on South London estates following on from becoming a Christian in 1980. He is the editor of the late Colin E. Gunton's The Barth Lectures (Continuum, T&T Clark, 2007) and Revelation and Reason: Prolegomena to Systematic Theology (Continuum, T&T Clark, 2009); he has also published numerous articles and reviews in theological and philosophical journals. Recently he undertook the graphic design work for the production of Perelandra the Opera in Oxford, and the web site and journal design for the newly launched Journal of Inklings Studies.
