William Silvester

Most of Bill's writing in his early years consisted primarily of columns and articles about history and the history of people and events depicted on stamps. He has had over 300 articles and columns published in his freelance career in Canada, United States and Great Britain. His book about Harry Potter Collectibles entitled 'Harry Potter Collectors Handbook' was published by Krause Publications in September 2010. A second book, a 'Handbook of Disney on Stamps' was published by the American Topical Association followed by 'Solo Wargames Campaigns'.

He then discovered Kindle and has downloaded four books to date dealing with Canadian military history. As chairman of the Colwood Heritage Commission he has also written a couple of books about local history. One of them, 'Colwood Chronicles' is a fund raiser for the Heritage Commission. 'The Adventures of Young Walt Disney' was published by Theme Park Press in October 2014 and available through Amazon followed by the biography 'Saving Disney: The Roy E. Disney Story' also from Theme Park Press. His next book was 'Building Magic: Disney's Overseas Theme Parks' now available from BearManor Media and Amazon.
