Cameo Archer

Cameo Archer grew up in Whittier, California, and started writing in the fifth grade. Her first published work was a book of poems in 1977 called "I Have Always Lived with Mountains, under the name Dorothy Lacsamana. Her poems and a short essay about her grandparents was included in AfterWords, published privately in 1997 by The Anthology Group, which displays Cameo's sketch of the MoonGate House on the cover. This was the beginning of her writing about her missionary grandparents, culminating in her current work "The Garners of Shanghai: A Novel of American Missionaries in China, 1901-1927". In the interim, she also wrote "Make Believe," which is work of fiction that takes place in 1930s California. Both Make Believe & The Garners of Shanghai are available on Amazon.
