Amy Lorenti

"I began seriously writing at the age of six. My first work, on lined paper and written in crayon, was a graphic novel called Ollie the Oyster. It became a best seller the day of its release. As with many child prodigies, stardom came with a cost. Life issues - surviving the perils of a '50s elementary school education, living through the '60s without benefit of drugs or alcohol, resisting the seductive lure of Disco at the height of its craze; yet succumbing to the lure of serial-marriage for more than 30 years - curtailed my career as a novelist. What about now, you ask? Now, I drink coffee and I write."

AMY LORENTI - author, graphic designer, business writer, editor, public relations and marketing consultant - built two graphic design and corporate communication agencies in the New York metro area during the '80s and '90s working primarily for Fortune 500 companies headquartered up and down the I-95 corridor. Since relocating to the Research Triangle region of North Carolina in 1999, she has focused on helping small business owners market effectively and efficiently.

Ms. Lorenti helps small businesses, entrepreneurs, independents, and professionals take advantage of today's online opportunities by establishing a professional online presence for their companies while creating a strong personal brand. She works closely with subject matter experts in a wide range of industries to help them write, publish, and promote their books.

Originally a Connecticut Yankee, Amy now lives in North Carolina with her young son, (adopted at the age of 16 months from Ukraine), and their two cats. When not attending a practice or soccer game, you will find Amy hard at work on another guide to help self-employed small business owners market themselves and their business, or burning the midnight laptop writing a Sassy Boomer Mystery.
