Catherine Gracey

Catherine is an Australian writer based in Canberra, ACT. Her work spans multiple genres, including non-fiction, flash fiction, literary fiction, and fantasy. In 2004 she completed a Bachelor of Arts (Professional Writing) and in 2008 completed a Bachelor of Arts (Honours in Professional and Creative Writing), both awarded by Deakin University in Burwood, Victoria.

Much of Catherine's novel writing experience comes from National Novel Writing Month, and for two years she was a Municipal Liaison for this and Script Frenzy. She has won the competitions many times, and continues to find inspiration in the idea of competing against herself.

Her interests include health, fitness, child development, travelling, languages and dance. She has a great appreciation for the colour purple, ignoring expectations, and generally living life in her own way.
