Susan Cullen

Susan Cullen is dedicated to lifelong learning and to making a positive difference in the world. When she sees a way to add value, she does it. When she sees a need, she tries to fill it. In this she has been successful more often than not.

Susan is a self-made success. Raised in Oklahoma, she received many scholarships, several to Ivy League graduate schools, which she turned down to accept a scholarship to Oxford in England. She survived the culture shock and after Oxford lived in London and Amsterdam, where she helped edit an anti-nuclear newsletter. Back in Oklahoma, she and a partner started a training program for teenagers who’d been arrested on DUI charges. Her job was to travel around the state and sell the program to the Municipal Court Judges. One of these judges was one of the first black judges in the state. Susan’s grandfather was a law professor who taught law to the few black students in his home because they couldn’t legally attend law school with whites. When she told the municipal judge who she was, tears shone in his eyes as he told her if it wasn’t for her grandfather, he wouldn’t be there. This grandfather was not Susan’s only ancestor who was a humanitarian activist. Her great-grandfather was a noted author,

intellectual, and the owner of a business school who married a Native American woman, a huge taboo in Oklahoma at the time. Susan comes by her social activism naturally.

After moving from Oklahoma, Susan went out on her own to start her own learning and performance improvement company, Quantum Learning Solutions, Inc. She has now had over twenty years of experience in this industry, providing state-of-the-art employee development, team building, and leadership programs since 1989. Her client list includes very long-term relationships with several Fortune 500 companies, illustrating the trust they have in her and the value she brings to their organizations.

Susan’s ability to focus is legendary. She is consistently in the top one to five percent of sales representatives as a distributor for training products, including Inscape Publishing, where she was won top level awards and has been asked to speak at their conferences. She is also a featured speaker on international webinars sponsored by the American Society for Training and Development and the Society for Human Resource Management. Susan is the author of numerous articles and e-learning courses addressing leadership and management skills. She is a co-author of the book 101 Great Ways to Enhance Your Career.

Susan took a hiatus after a severe car accident left her with a brain injury, but with the support of her fellow “bad girls”, and through her trademark focus and hard work, she has recovered, is learning new approaches to marketing, and her business is again expanding. Susan and her husband Jack live near Philadelphia, PA. She can be reached at www.quantumlearn.com.
