Gina McAndrew learned early the value of hard work and responsibility. A member of a close-knit Italian-American family, she was always ambitious with a drive to succeed, yet without compromising the family relationships that give life meaning.
Gina’s first real job was as a teenager, working as a New Accounts Representative in a local bank. Six years later she moved to the hospitality/hotel industry, where hard work and willingness to take on responsibilities contributed to her outstanding successes. She worked for hotels such as Hyatt Regency, Radisson Suites, Oakbrook Hills Resort, and the Dial Corporation, which manages numerous hotels and resorts, being named Employee of the Year, and also receiving the President’s Award for outstanding service and hospitality to guests and fellow employees. As a Certified Hospitality Administrator and the Corporate Director of Training for Dial Corporation (a title and position she created for herself), she developed, implemented, and facilitated successful workshops for employees, including “train the trainer” programs. This is where she discovered her talent and love for training.
Leaving the hospitality industry, Gina started her own business on a wing and a prayer, stepping away from a “safe” job to do it on her own, totally self-funded. Since 1994 she has owned and operated McAndrew & Associates, Inc., where a partial list of her clients include United Airlines, Harpo Studios, Reynolds Aluminum, Chicago Women in Publishing, and numerous resorts and hotels. She developed and facilitated training programs in Time Management, Diversity, Leadership, Stress Management, Customer Service, Sales, Quality Assurance, and Personal Development. Gina has an unmatched ability to connect with workshop participants on an individual level, and simplify the learning process into easy-to-understand language which helps make skill enhancement fun as well as enlightening. She has often worked with fellow “bad girls” as consultants to their clients, or as a co-facilitator for various projects. Gina also won Inscape Publishing’s Gold Award, based on her superlative sales results.
Gina is also a professional life coach, dedicated to helping individuals discover their passion as well as coaching to develop the right attitude and overcome their obstacles. She is also a certified facilitator in the Enrichment Process™.
Gina believes she is a “light worker” doing God’s work here on earth. She is passionate about helping others find and develop their own life’s path. In addition to her professional training and coaching business, Gina serves as the personal development manager for the Miss Illinois Scholarship Association. She is also on the Women’s Board of Directors for Rainbows, a nonprofit organization helping to guide children through life storms. Gina lives in Chicago with her husband and son, close to her loud and loving Italian-American family. She can be reached at: Gina@Sixfiguresbook.com.
