Ann Norlin grew up in a small city in central Kansas. She loved spending time with her grandmother Adah, who was school teacher. Adah instilled in Ann her love of reading and writing and history. Ann spent many hot Kansas afternoons in the library's local history room, curled up on the air conditioned floor reading about local history. When she wasn't reading local history, she was reading her favorite fiction books, especially Trixie Beldon and Nancy Drew mysteries. She wrote her first mystery at age 12. Ann also writes poetry. When in later life she picked up and guitar and learned to play it, she turned her writing skills to music and lyric writing. She and her husband enjoy traveling the backroads and doing photography together.
