Richard Lipman M.D. was born in Pittsburgh, Pa where he received his M.D. degree from the University of Pittsburgh and his post graduate training in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology. He served in the US Air Force at the Endocrinology Unit at Wilford Hall USAF Hospital. He completed his endocrinology training at the University of Miami. During his training he authored more than twenty medical research studies. He has lived in Miami, Fl for the past 40 years where he has practiced Endocrinology and Metabolism. He has treated more than 20,000 individuals for metabolism and weight loss issue. During the past 5 years he has focused on treating overweight families.
He has written 10 book on obesity and weight loss. Diet Buddies: A Weight Loss Plan for the Whole Family relates his experience treating overweight parents and children together.The targets of this book are the 25 million overweight children and teens in America who live in a household with one or more overweight parents--80% of who will end up as obese adults, if left untreated. His experience as an overweight child and father and grandfather of overweight children provides a unique insight into the obesity epidemic. His most recent, The Miami Diet Plan outlines his unique experience treating 40.000 overweight patients and recently more than 550 patients on his Semaglutide Once a Week Weight Loss Injection Program in his Miami, Fl office.
