Shawn Lantz

Shawn Lantz grew up in the Democratic Republic of Congo, the granddaughter and daughter of missionaries. Although she witnessed the unmistakable power and presence of Jesus Christ as a child, her decision to fully live for Him did not come until after a defining life experience at the age of thirty. Realizing how desperate she was for healing through that painful episode, Shawn asked the Lord to show Himself to her through His Word. To her great astonishment, He began to do what she had asked of Him.

Shawn loves to tell a story to bring the the bedrock foundation of truth from God’s Word to life. Her passion is to share her love of the Scriptures with women everywhere. She has felt God’s calling on her life specifically in the area of writing women’s Bible studies, although she would be the first to admit that she sometimes wishes they were on less heavy subjects! Shawn has written two Bible studies, Living With Unmet Desires: Exposing the Many Faces of Jealousy and Encountering the Healing Power of Forgiveness. Both studies have come out of her own struggle in these areas. She has also written a collection of short stories recounting the amazing life stories that the Lord has allowed her family to be a part of in the Democratic Republic of Congo during the almost three-quarters of a century that they have lived in the country.

Shawn currently lives in Nashville, Tennessee along with her wonderful husband and their three children. She serves on the women’s ministry team of Forest Hills Baptist Church where she teaches and facilitates women’s Bible studies. Shawn also has the privilege of teaching Sunday school to a fabulous, fun, and rowdy class of sixth-grade young women.
