In 1986 Wally started his career in the investment business. His branch manager encouraged him to "get involved" in the community. He walked into Mt. Zion High School, introduced himself to the head coach, and offered to volunteer. Little did Wally know that in looking to "get involved in the community," he would discover his passion for coaching. He has coached for over fifteen years at the High School, and Junior Football levels.
"Season of Change" has ranked as high as number 30 on Amazon's top 100 selling books under the category of "Sports Coaching", and has now sold copies in over 35 states.
Wally is also the author of "When Someone You Know Loses A Child". In its manuscript and finished form over 2500 copies of the book have been distributed. Proceeds from both books go to The Lindsay Marie Sparks Foundation.
In 2016 he will release his third work; "Delight Yourself". A coffee table book of poems featuring pictures by Dana Sparks
Wally lives in Chesterfield, Missouri, with his wife, Dana, and their son, Cayden. He is a partner with the Brechnitz Group of Raymond James, where he was recently selected by "The Financial Times" as one of the top 400 Financial Advisors in the country. Wally is still pursuing his passion for coaching, serving as a volunteer for the Parkway West football program in Chesterfield.
