John H Davenport

John Davenport is the author of many fly fishing titles, a conservationist, activist and has been a lifelong angler. He has pursued trout in 24 states and 23 countries. The focus of John's books and blogs (fishb4ufly.blogspot.com) are to answers the trout angler's most pressing questions in a unique and humorous way.

Davenport, who lives in Denver, Colorado, is the Conservation Chair for Denver Trout Unlimited and has written articles for various trade magazines over his career in Information Technology. His historically probable memoir about his great grandmothers called "Two Mommas", the series "Fish Before You Fly from ...", the series "Bug the Bug- Fly Fishing Advice from Smart Bugs", "Freedom for the River Queen" a Carp classic, "Getting into Fly Fishing for under $100" and "Fishing Three Mountain West Cities." are all available in eBook format from Amazon. He wrote, "The Tunnel" in the winter 2012-13 issue of The Drake fly fishing magazine.

He's tied flies and fished with his seven grandchildren in New Jersey, Colorado, Utah, Nevada, Pennsylvania and Hawaii. He lives with his charming wife Brenda and cats Paris and Metro in Denver. His home stream is Clear Creek as it runs through the canyon.
