Carol A. Collier grew up in Virginia hill country, and since then has resided many places--Germany, Alaska, Washington, and California. Her first published novel, An Appalachian Summer, is set in Virginia. In the sequel, River Dreams continues the story when the protagonist takes a trip on the dangerous and mysterious Brazilian Amazon River.
Two other books followed: A thriller--Someone is Watching--and the recently published Bokor, a confrontation with the supernatural by a woman who believes it doesn't exist. Her newest work will be a collection of short stories, some of which have won awards. Collier lives in Northern California where she is writing another novel.
