Gary Powell

Gary Powell was born in Kenton, north-west London in 1959. He joined the police force at the age of 18yrs in 1978 and was stationed in London for most of his 33yr career. The inspiration for writing his first book 'Square London' came from his love of London's history.

His next three books: 'Death in Disguise', 'Death Diary' and 'Convicted. Landmark Cases in British Criminal History' are all on true crime.

His latest book is his first crime novel featuring a modern day railway detective: DI Ryan McNally and his partner: D.S Marcia Frost. The two detectives investigate the discovery of skeletal remains in a lift shaft at Lambeth North London Underground station.

Just as the pieces seem to fall into place, a sinister new mystery unfurls. A string of female suicides across the underground system emerges to be a mask for a darkly orchestrated series of murders.

'Mind the Killer' offers a relentless narrative pace set against a unique policing environment. With each chapter, shocking twists uncoil, leading to a jaw- dropping finale that reverberates through the very last sentence. The book isn't just a tale of murder and intrigue, but of a chilling journey into the core of fear and the unyielding grasp of vengeance.
